On Aprili 2-3, 2014, Eco-TIRAS in partnership with Biological and Soil Department of Moldova State University in frames of its joint with Centre for Transboundary Cooperation (NGO from Tartu, Estonia) organized the training on biomonitoring of small rivers and fresh water bodies in accordance with the Water Framework Directive of the EU. 27 secondary school teachers and NGOs from Moldova and its Transdniester part took part in the training. Participants were familiarized with WFD stipulations related to biomonitoring, methodology of biomonitoring, as well as participated in practical biomonitoring of the Raut River near the Trebujeni village in Old Orhei National Park. In the process of training participants get sets of equipment for biomonitoring, purchased in project frames in Estonia and delivered by Dr. Arvo Tuvikene. Our colleagues from the Institute of Zoology (Prof. Elena Zubcov and Dr. Oxana Munjiu) as well as Dr. Arvo Tuvikene (Tartu University) as well as Victoria Luchianova (State Hydrometeorologic Centre of Moldova) became our trainers. Training was supported by the Department of International Cooperation of Estonia. Earlier, on September 21, 2013, in frames OF THIS PROJECT Eco-TIRAS organized the Dniester River Forum of NGOs where 50 people representing NGOs, participated. The next actions in frames of this project are: realization during June – September 2014 of biomonitoring of several Moldavian small rivers, Dniester River tributaries (NGOs-teachers-youth), participation in the conference environmental education conference in Estonia in August 2014 as well as celebration of the World Water Day in March 2015.

2-3 апреля 2014 года Eco-TIRAS в партнерстве с Биолого-почвенным факультетом Государственного университета Молдовы провел тренинг по биомониторингу малых рек в согласно требованиям Водной рамочной директивы Европейского Союза. В тренинге приняли участие 27 школьных учителей и НПО с правого и левого берегов Молдовы. Они ознакомились с методологией биомониторинга, требованиями Водной рамочной директивы ЕС, а также участвовали в практических занятиях на берегу реки Рэут в селе Требужень Орхейского района. В процессе тренинга участники получили наборы оборудования для проведения бимониторинга, закупленные в рамках проекта. В качестве тренеров выступили сотрудники Института зоологии АНМ и Университета г. Тарту, Эстония (Dr. ArvoTuvikene). Тренинг был проведен в рамках совместного проекта Центра трансграничного сотрудничества (Эстония) и Эко-ТИРАСА, поддержанного Департаментом международного сотрудничества Эстонии. Ранее, 21 сентября 2013 года в рамках этого проекта был проведен Форум днестровских НПО. Последующие действия в рамках этого проекта: проведение биомониторинга малых рек – притоков Днестра, участие в конференции в Эстонии и мероприятия, посвященные Международному дню воды в 2015 году.
