Eco-TIRAS 10 years Birthday

On October 10, 2009 Eco-TIRAS will celebrate 10 years from the Founding Day.

The Eco-TIRAS is established by 11 NGOs from Moldova and Ukraine during the International Conference and NGOs Forum organised by the Biotica Ecological Society. The idea is given by prof. John Bonine, Oregon, who reported about river keepers organizations in the USA. But with exception of Eco-TIRAS, no other such type river basin associations of NGOs were established in Europe and Asia during this 10 years. But we hope that we are unique but successful example of joining efforts of the civil society on the transboundary river basin level.
