Lower Dniester aquatic biodiversity - the map is published
In 2008-2009 Eco-TIRAS in cooperation with Odessa NGO
has realised the project on conservation of the Lower Dniester aquatic biodiversity. Among the project results are: determination and mapping of spawning sectors of different ecological groups of fishes in the transboundary river, discussion of the draft of the Moldavian -Ukrainian transboundary agreement on fishery in Dniester with the stakeholders and publishing of the Lower Dniester Aquatic Biodiversity Map (download 3,6 mb). The sectors prohibited for fishery are also noted at the map. We thank the Black Sea Trust for Regional Cooperation of the German Marshal Fund of the United States for support of these activities.
