Dniester River Summer 2012
Current summer on Dniester River became rich on events. On June 23-29 it was organized the kayaks’ expedition for high schools’ teachers from Moldova and Transdniester in which took part 20 teachers.
New book – Steppe Vegetation of the Republic of Moldova, by Galina Shabanova, PhD, in Russian
Eco-TIRAS has published a book of the Geobotanist Galina Shabanova dedicated to the steppe vegetation of Moldova. In the monograph it is described the main types of primary steppes and secondary ecosystems of steppe-type pastures and their usage, degradation stages and restoration of vegetation and rare species, protected on national level, as well as the level of their territorial protection.
How to manage the Dniester River?
The Moldavian – Ukrainian Seminar “ROLE AND IMPLEMENTATION OF HELSINKI WATER CONVENTION AND WATER AND HEALTH PROTOCOL IN TRANSBOUNDARY DNIESTER RIVER BASIN”, dedicated to 20th anniversary of the Helsinki Water Convention of the UN Economic Commission for Europe, took place in Chisinau, Moldova, on June 15, 2012.
